Avec I'Expression 3: Around the World.

Hey folks! This is the time of the year where everybody's relax and well tuned. Alright enough of craps & let's get to the main thing shall we?

Event: Avec I'Expression 3: Around the World.

Time: 7.30pm

Date: 20th November 2009

Venue: Victoria Concert Hall (VCH)

Prices: $10 (Stall seats)/ $12 (Circle seats)

Repertoires:

So these are the pieces that we will be playing on that day and like what I always say, no pressure! Alright guys if you have any spare tickets,  do let me know before 10th of November. This coming Friday, 13th of November will be the collection of the tickets & the money (duh -.-) So please bring all remaining tickets along for that practice & PLEASE DO NOT THROW AWAY THE TICKET STEM!

Hey guys,

I believe that this week is the exam week so please put in efforts in your studies and not games or other form of leisure! Just a few more unbearable days to go through & pffft! You've completed one semester in Temasek Polytechnic!

So bottom line is "please be in your study mood & chiong all the way". Alright, next time is the date that band practice will resume which is 31st of August, a monday apparently. Time is as per normal, 6.30 but I will appreciate your presence there in the band room as early as 6.15 to warm up individually & get tuned as we will have a 'new member' with us. So it's our duty to show our professionalism.

I guess you guys know who I'm trying to refer to, and that's right! Anthony! Ok here's the deal, he will be with us, practicing together for the next 3 months or so before his next audition. I believe that we should all treat him as a member of our band, our section, so guys please put on top behaviour, no vulgarities ah.

Alright, any issue be it personal or school work or whatever, except lending money (just kidding), you guys can come and find me. I will offer all help i can :D

Lunch time performance.

Hey folks, as you all know we're going to have a lunch time performance this coming week. So here are some of the basic information that you should know!

Date: 5th August 2009 (Wednesday)
Reporting Time: 9.30am (if you're in the midst of a lesson, the reporting time is 10am)

Attire: White polo tshirt/ band tshirt (for seniors); Jeans & Covered Shoes.

Repertoires:

7. Symphonic Beatles.

Alright that's what we will be playing for that day. On a lighter note, please enjoy yourselves during the performance and not worry about a single thing :D

Band Camp!

Hey what's up guys!

Wow, damn long never blog in this trumpet blog already. Wonder if you guys still know about this blog but no worries, we will continue to do postings! Alright there's gonna be a band camp next week :D

Basically there will be games and of course the ensemble night, which is in a way a competition. I know most of us are not ready but don't see it as a competition, see it as a form of leisure! (I got learn from my module)

Alright, seniors that are unaware of the date and/or time this are the details ah!

Took time off to y'know blog a bit bout the recent events that took place in band. Basically the tune in and auditions were held last week and i had to say there's quite a lot of quality players around but sadly we can only take in a handful.

Now that the year 1s are informed that they are in, welcome to the TP band family :D Also the fact that their official practices commences on 8th of May.

Should let them know this blog!

please tell me you guys still love me. . this is how we look like if we study so much, our head will explode and if we kept playing trumpet, our mouth will be swollen!

SAF Band Exchange

some little updates for the exchange. :D

Date: 30th March 2009
Time: 0900hr - 1500hr
Attire: White collared band tee, jeans and covered shoes

here's a brief on what we're gonna do.

• members are to reach school by 7.30am. SLs are to report at 7.15am.
• the exchange will be at Nee Soon Camp. we will need to reach there by 9am.
• there will be a "Tour of the White House" at 9.15am.
• after which we will break up and prepare for sectionals at 10.15am with the SL of the trumpet section there.
• Lunch at 12.15am at the canteen. please bring money for food!
• At 1.30.p.m, TP Band will perform the 2 pieces, followed by SAF Central Band, and then there will be a combine session.
• Group Photo-taking after that.
• The programme will end at 3pm. we'll pack up and head back to school.

please take note of this.

and please come for every band practice. :DD

Outing 2.

Hey guys,

Here to tell you guys bout the outing. Alright here it goes..

Ok basically we've decided to go to the steamboat restaurant @ Downtown East.

The date we are asking for is tuesday, 23rd of Dec. Anybody can't make it?

Now think about the date, then reply @ the tag  board whether you can make it. Also this restaurant opens @ 5pm so before that maybe you guys want to watch a movie or what. Since there will be quite a few nice shows by then. Or we can meet @ 4.45 also can :)

Now some basic details about the outing.

Venue: Probably can meet @ downtown east or Ehub.

Timing: To be decide again.

$: No limit, but at least $15/16.

Choice of outing.

Hello fellow trumpeters!

First of all, i want to congratulate all of us for putting out a fantastic performance for everybody who turned up for out annual concert! The solos are great and everybody tried their absolute best in all 9 pieces, including the encore piece. Alright, enough of formalities, let us being today's post!

Now, the reason why I'm here posting is due to the fact that we're going to have a 2nd trumpet outing. Despite the date not being finalise yet, i believe it's not going to affect us much. Ok let's begin. I know that Khairul wanted to treat us meals for the NBC right because we have Muslim friends with us, we definitely have to respect them, so I'm just going to mention Halal eateries only. Alright, lets go!

1st option: Steamboat (Halal)

Venue: Downtown East (NTUC Costa sands; Pasir Ris)
Price: $15 nett/pax for days, Tues-Thurs. $16 nett/paz for days, Fri-Sun.
Time of operation: 11am-10.30pm

If the majority of you guys choose this, i think it's only fair that we don't ask our SL & ASL to treat us for it if not, their pocket's gonna be as big as the ocean! Maybe they can treat us drinks.

Concert!

Hey guys,

by the time you read this post, we've about 1 week to our concert! Are you nervous? Ok, that question's kinda lame. But well, i think we can make our concert very very special this year :)
& Khairul said he wanna treat us eh, please give some suggestions! Also, since we going to eat, then might as well catch a movie also right? Ok lastly, pls kindly tag some idea of where to eat =)
