Hey folks! This is the time of the year where everybody's relax and well tuned. Alright enough of craps & let's get to the main thing shall we?

Prices: $10 (Stall seats)/ $12 (Circle seats)

Hey guys,

I believe that this week is the exam week so please put in efforts in your studies and not games or other form of leisure! Just a few more unbearable days to go through & pffft! You've completed one semester in Temasek Polytechnic!

So bottom line is "please be in your study mood & chiong all the way". Alright, next time is the date that band practice will resume which is 31st of August, a monday apparently. Time is as per normal, 6.30 but I will appreciate your presence there in the band room as early as 6.15 to warm up individually & get tuned as we will have a 'new member' with us. So it's our duty to show our professionalism.

I guess you guys know who I'm trying to refer to, and that's right! Anthony! Ok here's the deal, he will be with us, practicing together for the next 3 months or so before his next audition. I believe that we should all treat him as a member of our band, our section, so guys please put on top behaviour, no vulgarities ah.

Alright, any issue be it personal or school work or whatever, except lending money (just kidding), you guys can come and find me. I will offer all help i can :D

Basically there will be games and of course the ensemble night, which is in a way a competition. I know most of us are not ready but don't see it as a competition, see it as a form of leisure! (I got learn from my module)

SAF Band Exchange

some little updates for the exchange. :D

Date: 30th March 2009
Time: 0900hr - 1500hr
Attire: White collared band tee, jeans and covered shoes

here's a brief on what we're gonna do.

members are to reach school by 7.30am. SLs are to report at 7.15am.
the exchange will be at Nee Soon Camp. we will need to reach there by 9am.
there will be a "Tour of the White House" at 9.15am.
after which we will break up and prepare for sectionals at 10.15am with the SL of the trumpet section there.
Lunch at 12.15am at the canteen. please bring money for food!
At 1.30.p.m, TP Band will perform the 2 pieces, followed by SAF Central Band, and then there will be a combine session.
Group Photo-taking after that.
The programme will end at 3pm. we'll pack up and head back to school.

please take note of this.

and please come for every band practice. :DD

Here to tell you guys bout the outing. Alright here it goes..

Ok basically we've decided to go to the steamboat restaurant @ Downtown East.

The date we are asking for is tuesday, 23rd of Dec. Anybody can't make it?

Now think about the date, then reply @ the tag board whether you can make it. Also this restaurant opens @ 5pm so before that maybe you guys want to watch a movie or what. Since there will be quite a few nice shows by then. Or we can meet @ 4.45 also can :)

Now some basic details about the outing.

Hello fellow trumpeters!

First of all, i want to congratulate all of us for putting out a fantastic performance for everybody who turned up for out annual concert! The solos are great and everybody tried their absolute best in all 9 pieces, including the encore piece. Alright, enough of formalities, let us being today's post!

Now, the reason why I'm here posting is due to the fact that we're going to have a 2nd trumpet outing. Despite the date not being finalise yet, i believe it's not going to affect us much. Ok let's begin. I know that Khairul wanted to treat us meals for the NBC right because we have Muslim friends with us, we definitely have to respect them, so I'm just going to mention Halal eateries only. Alright, lets go!

1st option: Steamboat (Halal)

Venue: Downtown East (NTUC Costa sands; Pasir Ris)
Price: $15 nett/pax for days, Tues-Thurs. $16 nett/paz for days, Fri-Sun.
Time of operation: 11am-10.30pm

If the majority of you guys choose this, i think it's only fair that we don't ask our SL & ASL to treat us for it if not, their pocket's gonna be as big as the ocean! Maybe they can treat us drinks.

ITS MY TURN TO CONTRIBUTE.

Here i go..

trumpeters outing was on yesterday. We all met at bedok interchange first before heading for sharif's house. Guess what? Jing Ting was the latest. like 40 mins late?
Tsk tsk tsk. Okays. after all turned up, we went to sharif's house first. catch disney cartoon at his house and we left at twelve. the next destination was khairul's house. watched spongebob, sang Oh Carol and had a "light" lunch with panda syrup water at his house. eh first time drinking that. i think it tasted not bad. HAHA. Okay. the MAIN highlight of the outing comes. that is ICE SKATING at Kallang leisure mall. $16.50 for 2 hours. I guess we all had fun there. I enjoyed myself. hopefully the rest enjoy themselves too. After skating, was daytona challenge at Virtualand. Dinner at KFC after that. theres gossips as usual. while the rest were gossiping, jonny was busying playing the PSP. Tsk.

HAHA. after skating we can head down to IMM for dinner and leisure. haha. so on?

National Day & Olympics !

Well well well !
Let me begin with a " Happy National Day !" shall we? Alright, as you know yesterday was national day, the 43rd year since Singapore's independence. Ok, enough of it. There'll be a fire work show on 23rd of August at the Esplanade Platform, it's beside Esplanade so guys, do catch it! I know got exam ah, but it's gonna be nice =D.

Next, Olympics !
As expected, Singapore's players were out of some games and some were in the finals. Like swimmer Li tao! Do catch it out, again. Ok, I'll report the results again ..

Hello everybody, it's David here. Wow, it's been like 2 months and 2 weeks or, if you want to put it another way, 10 weeks since I've been with TP band & of course, the trumpet section. Quite amused by the way I was introduced to the band. I was a substitution for one of the previous trumpeter, and I shall not mention the name here. Not being jealous hor. LOL

My playing wasn't that good when I first came but of course, through everybody's teaching, little parts where I can improve on and some words of motivation, I improved. Thank you people! Of course, I still have a lot to learn, so if i asked you something, please don't reject me huh =D.

Thanks for letting me feel the love of having such a big section and special thank to everybody's guidance this few weeks. Especially Khairul, you lamer. From you people, I've learnt when to be serious, when to have fun and when to eat supper @_@ .

Ok, I've to stop now before it gets really emotional here. I'll always be here with Jonny, Elissa and Sharif, I believe. Hey guys, it 3 30am in the morning man and i really got no idea why the hack am i doing this at this time man...hahahaha...yeah so anyway just thought i just drop by and blog some crap or something. It s just to show lah that im doing my part. yeah so anyway if i you havent heard it TP band got gold and won the division!!!!...cool right?!?!...hahahaha...but to tell you the truth i guess we were abit lucky on getting it but no one can dare say we didnt put in an effort esp the trumpets who for for 3 weeks had band for 4day a week. Who sacrificed so much time and effort, right guys? and sri even missed all her favourite shows for 3 weeks!!!! MAN im really shocked! (Im so dead by friday =x ) ...so yeah congrets to everyone in TP band and a big special one to the trumpet section you guys really made me proud.

So guys remember after this TP band has gotten REPUTATION already so we still have to put in effort ok? ps. im planning to have sectional every tues and thur what do you all think???
hahahaha...just kidding.

yeah so that i guess thats it ah,oh i still got to play the solo again on sat but with a section like you behind me, makes me feel i got the support of the whole world. yup dont need to be so emo on this post ah, maybe someother time.

Trip To Ignite!

TRIP TO IGNITE!

While the rest of the section were busy doing their own stuff on such a rainy day, Khairul, Jingting, Huizhen, David and me went to settle the section t-shirt at bugis.

Instead of taking the MRT, we took bus 7 because the fare isn't as expensive as MRT. Besides, some of us were using concession passes. Huizhen was witty enough to put the directory of bus 7 in her phone. Thanks! Anyway, knowing that the bus ride was gonna be around 30 minutes long, we entertained ourselves with juicy gossips and nonsensical stories of each other. *wink*

We alighted at an ulu HDB area and spent the first 15-30 minutes looking for the shop called Ignite. Unknowingly, we were walking in one big circle. Turned out that the shop was just a distance away from where we alighted. Much thanks to Jingting for having sharp eyes because it was a small shophouse and the sign of the shop wasn't big enough to see from afar. It's located somewhere near Sultan Mosque.

To our disappointment, we were told by an assistant of the shop that the shop owner, Jam, wasn't available so we had to stand around outside the shop for a long time. From the outlook of the shop, I thought that it's a shop which serves the darker genre of music. For example, dark and black metal. Looked scary anyway. Haha! Anyway, while waiting, we took a whole lot of pictures until we got so bored. Huizhen, being the witty one again, had a great idea of exploring the area around the shop, thus, we told the assistant to call us whenever the shop owner comes back.

It was interesting to see the life at that area. Since there are a lot of restaurants serving Middle Eastern Cuisine, I saw many people smoking Sheesha and personally, I thought it was cool cos I liked the smell which I believe many disagree to. However, it's more dangerous than cigarettes cos from what I heard, it's not filtered. And so we walked around and thought that we could do a photoshoot. However, before we could do that, Jam was back and we had to rush back to the shop cos it was getting kinda late.

We analysed the t-shirt sizes carefully and I'm sure we chose reasonable sizes for all of you. The cutting of the shirts are kinda big though. XS looked like S and M looked like L and so on.. It will be ready by next week, hopefully.

It was close to 10 when we were finally done with the t-shirts. Everyone was tired, but I'm sure it was all worthwhile, right? Haha!

The next problem we faced was having to look for female toilets since Jingting and Huizhen needed it badly. We ended up walking to Lavender MRT to use the toilet. -.-

Huizhen, Jingting and me took bus 7 back to Bedok Inter while we left Khairul and David to have their intimate time together. Hahaha!

What a night! Haha. So, goodnight all! Pictures will be updated soon my HZ!
